Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Patrick, founder of Arizona House Watch, a professional home watch service based in Surprise, Arizona.
I grew up working alongside my dad, who was both a mechanic and a home builder. If something was broken, we fixed it. If something needed to be built, we built it. By the time I was an adult I already understood how homes are put together and what happens when they are not maintained properly.
I carried that foundation into a 40 year career in the Midwest, where I built an electronics repair company from a small operation into a multimillion dollar business handling contracts for schools and government agencies across the country. Running at that scale meant tight protocols, clear processes, and zero tolerance for sloppy work. That is a standard I have never let go of.
After selling that company, I moved into commercial real estate and built a portfolio of 10 properties in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Managing them myself was never a question. I already knew how to do the work, so I did it.
When the pandemic shifted the market, I sold the portfolio and became a stay at home dad to my daughter. During those years I earned my general contractor license in Wisconsin, flipped houses, and started a handyman and air duct cleaning company with one straightforward goal. I wanted to bring real professionalism to an industry full of no shows, missing websites, and poor communication. Within a short time we were the top rated service in the Milwaukee suburbs.

Why I Started Arizona House Watch
Eventually I got tired of Midwest winters. My parents had already retired to Surprise, so I sold the house and the business and headed out West.
That first summer, my family went back north to escape the heat and asked me to keep an eye on their Arizona homes. That is when everything clicked. An empty home sitting in 115 degree heat is a serious liability, and I quickly realized the local home watch industry here in the West Valley had the exact same problems I had already fixed once in Wisconsin. Most operators were running weekend side hustles out of spiral notebooks with no real reporting and no construction knowledge to back them up.
That is a real problem in the retirement and seasonal communities along the 303 corridor, including Sun City Grand, Sun City West, Arizona Traditions, Sterling Grove, Marley Park, Corte Bella, Sun Village, Waddell, Surprise, and surrounding West Valley communities.
